my focus has been on creating a well-run, welcoming inclusive county Democratic Party, with clear transparent processes. My goal has been to be: 

• FAIR -  I modified the Central Committee endorsement process to ensure fairness so that all members are able to express their views and have equal input into endorsement decisions. The new process hopefully reduces candidate stress.

• COLLABORATIVE -   I meet monthly with the e-board to collaborative develop recommendations for the full body and to make the many administrative decisions needed to keep the party running smoothly.  I encourage input from all members. 

• SUPPORTIVE - I support the activism of all Democrats and help them be successful. 

  • SMCDems has adopted resolutions that support state legislation, address climate change, and urge county supervisors to pass the tenant protection ordinance and implement sheriff oversight.   You can see the complete list of resolutions on our website here. 

  • The SMCDems Farmworker Affairs Committee hosted a farmworker summit in Half Moon Bay, which drew city officials, legislators, farmworkers, and other community members.  In the picture on this page I am presenting awards of recognition  to Victoria Sanchez De Alba and April Vargas.
