I'm running for re-election to the San Mateo County Democratic Central Committee.
After Al Gore was denied the presidency, I was outraged and had to do something. I started volunteering with the Sierra Club and the San Mateo County Democratic Party.
I have been an elected member of the San Mateo County Democratic Central Committee for thirteen years. First, I served as Southern Vice Chair and then Endorsements Committee Chair. The Endorsement Committee provides recommendations for the endorsement of candidates and ballot measures to the full Central Committee to ratify. For the last three years, I have been honored to serve as the Party Chair. Read about my being chair here.
For over 20 years, I have advocated for forest protection and held many leadership positions within the Sierra Club at the local and state levels. Before retiring, I worked for Intel and other entities for 25 years as a systems programmer, product manager, and other technical positions. I also earned an MA in counseling and have an inactive California Marriage Family Therapy license.
